DGSA Facilities and Partnerships

  • DGSA is the exclusive travel softball partner with Dunlap Community District #323 providing access to the Dunlap High School Softball Field and Dunlap Valley Middle School Softball Field for all games and practices
  • DGSA has free year round access to the Dunlap Activity Center, an indoor practice facility with a full turf infield and batting cage
  • DGSA has free year round access to indoor batting cages at Dunlap High School for pitching and hitting
  • DGSA has free access to a private outdoor batting cage located on the property of a DGSA board member
  • DGSA has a partnership for private instruction opportunities with the Number 9 Hitting Lab located in North Peoria 
  • DGSA offers off-season strength, agility, and conditioning opportunities through partnerships with D&J Sports in Chillicothe and 360 Speed & Performance in East Peoria 
  • DGSA coordinates closely with the Dunlap Middle School and High School Softball Programs to develop players for a smooth transition into the school softball programs



  • When do we start? Practice will begin in late August (optional workouts, hitting and pitching clinics will be available in July)
  • What are the fees? $425 per year, $100 is due to confirm your roster spot, the remaining is due January 1st
  • What do my fees cover?  All field prep and umpire fees, 2 custom uniform jerseys and 1 pair of custom pants, batting helmet, equipment backpack, sweatshirt; all other equipment will be provided except for a fielding mask and cleats
  • Will I be required to fundraise?  Most of the tournament fees are covered by corporate sponsorships and DGSA wide fund raising events.  Historically, individual fundraising has been limited and decisions regarding fundraising are left to the individual teams based on the number of tournaments desired
  • How many games will I play?  Each team in coordination with their  families determines how many games they want to play; typically between 35 and 60 over the entire year via doubleheaders and tournaments in the Fall, Winter, & Spring/Summer
  • Can I play other sports? Yes, however in the Spring/Summer season, softball is expected to be your first priority
